Today (the 9th), the world's largest 271,000 cubic meter ultra-large LNG carrier officially started construction at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding under CSIC. Its key performance features have been fully upgraded, and it's planned to be delivered in 2028.

The 271,000 cubic meter LNG carrier under construction is 344 meters long and comes with the latest domestically-made membrane containment system. Its cargo capacity, energy efficiency, environmental performance, and navigation safety have all been fully upgraded. Compared to the mainstream 174,000 cubic meter traditional LNG carriers, this ship's cargo capacity has increased by 57%, making its overall performance top-notch in the industry.

Currently, our country has a global LNG ship market share of over 30%, and Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding has nearly 60 LNG ships on order, ranking first in the world by capacity, with production schedules already lined up past 2030.
