In the year 2008, more than 20 ships were built and delivered to the owners and the annual turnover of NMC hit USD250 Million, which contributed more than 50% to the annual turnover of the whole group and also helped the company get a leading position in East China in this line.
Till now, together with her holding company, NMC has invested in more than 10 shipyards and 5 marine spare factories/foundries. A lot of successful projects have been completed in those yards with major world wide Shipping companies from Germany, Holland, Greece, middle East countries and south-east Asian countries. NMC’s able to build: sea-going vessels up to 80,000dwt, incl. Bulk carrier, MPC, Container vessel, self-unloading vessel, Oil/ Chemical/ Asphant carriers, Cement carrier, Offshore engineering vessel; Pushers & Tugs up to 20,000hp and various Barges.
In year 2008, in order to strengthen the mutual relationships with manufacturers and enhance the power, activity and efficiency of itself, a huge investment was made by NMC into Nantong Ruide shipyard and become her full holding company. BY owning such a medium size shipyard, provide NMC a more flexble and more competitive position on the marine market to build certain type of medium-size vessels.
